I have always had the perfect little body until I approached 30 years old and had another baby. I was the heaviest I had been in my life at 164 lbs. I started a weight loss program that just had me taking phentermine so I would not want to eat. It made me feel horrible as my heart would race and it was like I was taking some sort of speed. I lost over 20 lbs but as soon as I stopped taking the medication I started gaining it all back. I realized that I just need to look at changing my lifestyle all together. I started eating healthier and working out daily. I was doing 30-40 minutes of cardio a day with no weight training because I was concerned that it would bulk me up. I was getting discouraged because I was not seeing weight loss or results fast enough. I started to search on the internet for tips on what I should be doing differently when I came across the body for life website. I started reading all the profiles and looking at the before and after pics. I was impressed but chalked it up to being another quick weight loss gimmick. However, as I started researching I found that it was not a take a pill quick weight loss scheme that it involved eating healthy and working out. I thought what the heck I will give it a try. I am in my fourth week and I have seen SIGNIFICANT changes in my body physique. I made the mistake of not taking the initial picture but the scale weight is slowly going down but more importantly my clothes are hanging off of my and I am able to wear a size 4. I mean how can this be?! I am heavier than my skinniest weight but able to wear the same stuff as I did when I was 15 to 20 lbs lighter on the scale. Well I am not complaining that is for sure. I welcome this change! The most notable change is in my psychological state of mind. I feel amazing inside. I am happier, I have more of an optimistic outlook on life. I feel 10 years younger. This is the lifestyle change I have been looking for. |
| Goals: |
My goals are to eventually get down to 130 lbs with low body fat percentage. To be able to wear a bikini with confidence. To never look my age and to feel energetic. I want to have muscles and look like I can kick butt but still stay feminine looking. To be a role model for my kids, friends and family. |
