***GLAMS SOUPER TUESDAY***
Finally
Skinny Clam Chowder
1 Can Swanson Chicken Broth (regular size what 16 oz?
1/4 tsp dried thyme leaves
1/8 tsp pepper
3 med potatoes, cut into cubes
1 stalk celery, sliced
1 medium onion chopped
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cans (6 1/2 oz each) minced clams
In saucepan mix broth, thyme, pepper, potatoes, celery and onion. Over high heat, heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 15 min. or until veggies are tender.
Gradually mix milk into flour until smooth. Gradually add to broth mixture. Add clams. Cook until mixture boils and thickens (is that a word?), stirring constantly. Serves 7.

thinkins Ummmm, this would mean my soup is thinking and plotting its revenge. Ahhhhhhh! I would prefer if it *thickens* and I am safe to attempt to eat it! Thank you for posting it!! Good Morning! It's Carter's 5th birthday today! He is beyond excited. He thinks that means he doesn't have to nap anymore, but I told him that happens when he is in 5K (in school fulltime). I must have at least a summer left yet of him napping!! Evil, evil mom. I didn't get up early to work out. I may be pouting a bit from my scale whore-ing. (that may be a made up word) I know it and I will knock it off very soon. FOOD AND WATER CALLOUT!! Are you brave enough to participate?

Morning Glams! Into the second week at work and BFL and other the the lack of exercise I am loving both the eating and the work I am no leaving the house at 10 till 7 and getting to work just at 8 so it does chew up alot of my time and I am very much looking forward to moving closer. I don't want to move but I do want to move closer. Clean eats yesterday and I have them packed today. Not much else to report.
100% nothing less ... anything less is Failure

M1 crm of rice w/PP
M2 brownie and a diet coke (I was getting in my car to take Red to preschool and the dogs charged out of the house. I have spent the last 30 min in the cold rounding the f$#%ers up. They have gotten out, but not charged out like that! Ruby got over in the next neighborhood. I am contemplating adding something to my Hot Chocolate. My neighbor ended up taking the kids to preschool, she is not an animal person and I'm trying to explain to her (her English isn't the best) that I need to go get the dogs back before I can take the kids to school. Now they are both zonked out!!! Completely exhausted, I'm going to wake their a$$ up.
Good news, I now have a nice quiet house with the kids in school and since I was so late, I didn't go to Bible study. I probably need the quiet more today.

scale whore-ing........That is a hoot!!!
My DS turned 5 two weeks ago. He still naps when at daycare, but won't volutarily take a nap on the weekends. He usually gives it up around 5:00 in the afternoon on the couch. I only let him sleep for an hour, but somehow will still go back to bed around 9:00.
Too bad I don't like clams....or anything that lives in water... or I am all about some food with the word "skinny" in it. By the way, has anyone had the skinny girl cosmos? premade white cranberry cosmos... only like 40 calories for 8 oz.
water: 60 oz
food: M1: 3 egg whites and 1/2 cup oats with 1/3 cup milk
M2: protein shake and 1/2 protein bar
M3: it will be the stirfry i made for the week and an apple.
M4: protein shake
M5: TBD
Nicole: brownie and a diet coke? hummmm, protein brownie? dang dogs.... You earned that brownie chasing them around!

m2 turkey sandwich, 40 oz water down so far m3 clam chowder soup--yes, from the can unfortunately! Water, 5 crackers Nicole--I'm sorry, but I had to giggle. I hate chasing anything. At my parents, their goats get out all the time and I just yell out "Fine, stay out! See if I care if a car hits you!" and stomp back inside the restaurant. What is your other dog's name again? Enjoy the quiet. Katie--sent you a package on Monday Now cook me up some food and mail it back No seafood, really? I have not seen the skinny girl stuff, not sure if I need another thing that I would enjoy drinking!! Kyra--keep on, keeping on! When do you move again? BBL
